(HANDSHAKE-DUMBING) You need this in order to prevent PVRs from interfering with frame number transmission to other PVRs and SGI.

If you can't make your own null modem, Radio Shack units are adequate. They will lockup sometimes, though.

Other brands of null modems will never work.

This is the wiring of the Radio Shack units, but the wiring at the top of the page is best.
